Home care or In-home support is care that helps seniors remain in their own homes or with family when care needs arise. It is usually sought after when assistance is needed due to physical or mental limitations that come with aging
Home care services are non-medical in nature.
What’s the difference between Non-Medical and Medical (also called “Skilled”) care?
Medical or Skilled care is a high level of medical care that must be provided under the supervision of licensed health professionals, such as registered nurses (RNs).
Examples of skilled services include
- Wound care
- Intravenous therapy
- Injections
- Catheter care
- Physical therapy
- Monitoring of vital signs and medical equipment
A Friend In Need Home Care DOES NOT provide these types of skilled support services.
